August 10, 2008 (RALEIGH, NC) - ArtCo Surf, the brand that offers artist Clark Hipolito's one-of-a-kind, hand-painted, wood-grain and limited edition surfboards, announces the official launch of its new apparel line for men and women. Motivated by the culture and lifestyle of surfing enthusiasts like himself, Hipolito's line offers 100-percent cotton short- and long-sleeved tees that draw some of their screen printed and embroidered detailing from his Polynesian/Asian-inspired boards - Buddha heads, koi fish, ArtCo's crest. Other tees feature elements of nature and some just-for-fun objects, such as turn-of-the-century bicycles and old movie cameras. "This is a great opportunity for us to disseminate our unique 'look' through another product offering," said Hipolito, whose company also creates limited edition skateboards and stretch beach cruisers. "We've gotten a lot of great feedback when we've shown the sample shirts at fashion and other events. We're excited to be getting this product line off the ground and running." The new ArtCo Surf apparel collection features various versions of high-end, relaxed fit tees. The "basics-tee" version is made of 100 percent combed, ring-spun jersey cotton and also features a rib collar, side seams, double-needle sleeve, and bottom hem with a soft and comfortable feel to the touch. Another one of the unique shirts in the line features an acid wash that's put through a specific hand-dying process to generate a retro look. So no two shirts are exactly the same. These tees feature rib collars, edge stitching around neckline, double-needle sleeves and bottom hems as well. The ArtCo Surf collection is currently available online (www.artcosurf.com) and through Oliver Boutique, a trendy, upscale boutique in Wilmington, NC (www.oliverclothing.com).
